Green Day celebrated at Golden Bells School

MOHALI, JULY 23

The Pre-primary wing of Golden Bells Public School, Sector – 77, Mohali, celebrated the “Green Day” with lots of fun n frolic. The aim to celebrate the day is to make the kindergarten kids familiar with the “Green Colour”.
The students of pre-nursery classes planted the tree saplings to make environment green and pollution free. This tree plantation activity was conducted to make kids familiar with the importance of trees in our life and to make them aware of our environment and to “save trees”.
Green coloured fruits and vegetables were shown to them to make them aware of the fact that fruits and vegetables are linked with trees.
Further, to enhance the effectiveness of the activity, themes were given to each class. The theme of ‘Capsicum’ was given to Pre-Nursery class; ‘Tree’ theme was given to Nursery class and K.G. class was given the ‘Grapes’ theme.
Two kids from each class represented the theme, attiring as Capsicum, Tree and Grapes. Children brought green coloured nutritious food items in tiffin.
Vegetable printing, leaf printing and thumb printing were the activities conducted on Green Day.
