MOHALI, OCT 30
Golden Bells Public School, Sector-77,Mohali celebrated the most cherished Annual Cultural and Prize Distribution function of the school at Tagore Theatre, Sec-18, Chandigarh with great fervour on 30th October,2010.
The Chief Guest of the day Dr .S .K. Batish ,M.D. Punjab State Co-operative Agriculture Development Bank, inaugurated the cultural feast by lighting the lamp. The other guests to graced the event were Dr.(Mrs.)G.K. Nanda (President, Woman and Child Welfare Association, Mohali; Sh. K.S. Dhaliwal (Advocate) (President, Golden Bells Schooling Society).
The cultural feast started with a ‘Welcome Speech’. The cultural events were started by giving tribute to Natraj (God of dances).This was followed by the “Annual School Report” which aimed at giving a glimpse of the school performance and achievements in different activities held in and outside the school during the session 2010-2011 was read out by the Principal Mrs. Anjali Chaudhry.
The choir of the school paid a tribute to those countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our country by singing a “Group Song”. Parents and teachers both have great expectations from their tiny tots whereas the tiny tots have their own thoughts which they tried to present through a “Qawali”. The “National Integration” highlighted the rich cultural, social, ethnic and linguistic diversity of India. The “Western Dance” enthralled the audience. The Hindi play “BHOLA RAM KI ATMA” revealed today’s official functioning. The western swing “Hip Hop” performed by the students of class 10th mesmerized the audience with their energy and attitude. “Healthy Food ” and “Yoga” is the requirement of every body in order to function properly.
This message was conveyed by the students of the primary wing. The “Choreography” picturised the hostel life. The “Punjabi play” was based on the theme of science and superstition. “Taekwondo Activity” on the other hand rejuvenated and revitalized the energy of the young and budding kids.
The cultural show of the school was totally based on the educational and moral learning with an informative and spirited approach. As the programme headed to the close, the efforts of the children were acknowledged. Prizes and Scholarships were awarded to the meritorious Goldenites.
