MOHALI, OCT 1
Students of Golden Bells Public School, Sector – 77, Mohali celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with great gusto. The celebration started with a bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’.
Then students spoke on the life history of Gandhiji and depicted it through a play. The scene of racial discrimination was depicted through the incidence of shifting Gandhiji from 1st class compartment to 3rd class compartment in spite of having ticket of 1st class. Play conveyed a meaningful message of truth and non violence to the audience.
Tiny tots of kindergarten section presented a marvelous show during a fancy dress competition. Children were colorfully attired as historical leaders. They also collected stamps with Gandhiji’s pictures on it.
Chairman of the school, Col. C.S. Bawa(Retd.) appreciated the efforts made by the students and encouraged them to follow the path shown by Gandhiji.
