Saint Soldier International School of Sector-28 B celebrated the 61st Republic Day today with patriotic fervour and zeal in the school premises. The programme started with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chairman, S. Gurdev Singh Hayer. Itwas followed by cultural programme comprising patriotic songs, speeches, poems, prize distribution and a skit by the tiny tots.
The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm nationalistic feeling. The Principal Ms Sudesh, while addressing the students laid stress on the need to preserve the integrity of the nation and to work with dedication to address the various challenges of poverty, unemployment and terrorism. The programme ended with the National Anthem creating the complete feeling of unity, integrity and secularism. Sweets were distributed among the students.
