The Banyan Tree School, Sector 48 celebrated its annual function on 29th Jan at Tagore Theatre. The show beings with the welcome of the chief guest Mr D.R. Yadav , joint secretary/regional officer, CBSE, Panchkula region and with the lighting up the Lamp of Knowledge. The Principal of the school Mrs Ratna Dhar presented the annual report.
The show was in the form of Bellet - Vasundhra ki gatha - depicting the sorry state of affairs of the earth and how the young generations has taken up its shoulder the responsibility of rectifying the wrongs done. The show started with the song by the tiny tots of Pre-nursery moving on the classifical dances, folk dance like bhangra and a skit.
The stage was lighted up by the slide show presenting diffrent seasons. Children performed of the tunes of songs like “ab ke sawan, suno suno and we are the world’ .
The programme concluded with prize distribution and note of thanks by the students.
