St Soldier celebrates World's Wetland Day

Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, today organized poster making competition echoing the theme "Wetlands, Biodiversity, and Climate Change" of World Wetlands Day on February 2 in the school premises in Sector 28 here today.
The competition was conducted to commemorate world’s wetland day and to encourage student to have a better understanding of wetlands, in order to observe the ecology on wetlands, plants and animals as well as discover the relationship between wetlands and humans.
Students were enlightened about the effects of climate change on biodiversity and wetlands. In the contest, students were required to prepare posters through collation and analysis of information collected by various methods, observation of plants, animals and different habitats or collection of information related to climate change report.
Teachers also spoke on “Wetlands, Biodiversity, and Climate Change.”
Principal Ms Sudesh Choudhary inspired awareness among students about the importance of balancing the needs of humanity with the needs of the planet.
