Around 100 tiny tots from Mohali, Chandigarh, Panchkula and adjoining areas participated in the Annual Baby Show organised by Golden Bells Public School, Sector – 77, here today. The show was brightened up by the well attired toddlers who stole the hearts of one and all.
Mr. N.K. Sharma, Chairman, Distt. Planning Board, S.A.S. Nagar inaugurated the show. He spoke on the importance of such healthy competitions which is the platform to bring out the hidden talent and help in shaping and grooming the personality of the child at such tender age. He also wished success to the young participants.
The baby show was divided into four categories (Cat. A: 6 months – 1 year, Cat. B: 1 - 1½year, Cat. C: 1½ - 2½ year and Cat. D: 2½ - 3½ year) according to the age groups separately for boys & girls. The eminent panel of judges included efficient housewives, expert teachers, doctors and renowned dieticians judged the kids on the basis of their general health, hygiene, confidence and attitude. Lots of fun games were organised for parents and grandparents of participants.
On the occasion, free refreshment coupons were given to all the grandparents, complimentary joy rides on the toy train and gifts were given to all participants.
At last, crowning ceremony of I, II, III position holders of all categories was done. Our guest of honour, Dr. G.K. Nanda, President Women Welfare Association and Vice President of Mohali Senior Citizens Association distributed the prizes to the winners.
The Chairman of the school thanked the guest of honour, parents and teachers as well as congratulated the winners and their parents for their contribution in nurturing and bringing up the children in positive manner and to make the baby show a grand success.
Winners of the baby show are: Golden Bells Prince Golden Bells Princess: Category A (6 months-1 year): 1 Maahir Ananya. Category B (1-1½yrs.) Arnav Khurana Diya Raja. Category C (1½-2½yrs.): Rayhan Vijita. Category D (2½-3½yrs.): Ayaan Tavishi.
