Children of Kindergarten and Primary sections took part in Baisakhi Celebrations with great enthusiasm at Holy Child School, Morni Hill Road. The students came all dressed up in traditional dresses of Punjab. Consequently they looked very colourful as they were taken on an excursion to some wheat fields where they had a lot fun with music, songs and the folk dances of Punjab.
This festival is celebrated to usher in the New Year in Punjab. This festival also commemorates the birthday of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
