Overnight leader Rahul Bajaj continued to lead by two strokes in spite of one over par 73 finish today in the Indian Golf Union categorised Chandigarh Amateur Golf Championship in Chandimandir today. Rahul's two days' total is 140.
Rahul front 9 was bogie fee and was level par but bogie on 10th and quadriiple on par 3 12th hole took the toll of him but thereafter Rahul birdied 13, eagled 14th, birdied 15& 16th. This looked like a dream run but double on par 3 17th followed it up with birdie on the final hole saw him finish + 1 over par.
Today the players seemed to have learnt to negotiate the strong winds and play some good golf. Karan Vasudeva and HS Kang fired the best cards of the day with - 2 under par 70. Ashbeer Saini who was also - 2 under par till the 16th hole bogied the 17th to finish at - 1 under par 71.
Aditya Bhandarka played steady golf once again shooting level par for second in succession to remain at the second spot along with Ashbeer, Karan and Tarundeep Chadha who also fired - 1 under par 71 today.
The cut was applied at + 14 over par 158 with 40 + ties (43) making it to the next two rounds.
