Independence Day was celebrated at Shemrock Smiles, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula with great patriotic spirit in the school premises. The children from Mont-1 to Mont-3 took part in various competitions like Hindi recitation, patriotic songs, public speaking, colouring the National flag etc.School director Teenu Jolly addressed to the children and explained the importance of living in a free country. She urged to the children to contribute positively in making India a leading nation on the international map. Staff members also participated with full patriotic zeal singing praises of the motherland. Teachers also narrated stories from the lives of various freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chander Bose, Lokmanya Tilak and also the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
Everyone raised the slogans of “Jai Hind and Proud to Be Indian”. The dress code for the teachers was white kurtas with tri-colour sashes. The school was decorated with tri-coloured buntings, balloons and the tirangas. Ladoos were also distributed among the children and staff members to mark the occasion.
