Golden Bells Public School, Sector 77, Mohali, celebrated Teej with great enthusiasm. To mark the monsoon season, the students attired in colourful traditional dresses of Punjab. The school premises was wearing a festive look with the swings decorated with flowers giving a symbolic touch to the festival.
The students also presented speech, songs and cultural dance which made the celebrations more joyful. Students brought halwa, kheer-poode, ghevar and puri in their tiffin.
The reason to celebrate Teej is to make the students aware about our festivities and to promote the rich the rich heritage.
In the end, Chairman of the school, Col. C.S. Bawa(Retd.) explained the importance of Teej and suggested to maintain cultural heritage of Punjab. He also appreciated the efforts put in by young talents.
